Sheep Classes

The Sheep section at the Trawden Agricultural Show showcases the diversity, quality, and tradition of sheep farming in our region. With classes covering a wide range of commercial and pedigree breeds, the section highlights the care and expertise of our local shepherds. Of special interest are the Rare and Minority Breeds, which play a vital role in preserving Britain’s agricultural heritage. New for 2025, we’re excited to introduce a dedicated class for Herdwicks, a hardy and iconic breed known for their resilience and striking appearance. Often associated with the Lake District, Herdwicks are gaining popularity for their adaptability and character, and we’re proud to give them a spotlight at this year’s show.
